~ ever happy ~ ani. | | Friends, this is my 2nd poem, I wrote before my marriage.
Yes, every aspect has come true. This is after almost
25 long years of marriage, I can say that. We, Gul and myself, shall complete this 8th of August - 25 years of
'happy wedlock'. We have been blessed with a son, Robin,
who finished his M.S. and is now working in a very good Company in Chicago, U.S.A.
Through this network, I wish to thank Mr. Dinesh Punjabi,
who sent me a nudge to post my poems and also Ms. Pushpa
Moorjani, who is always inspiring me to post my poems, and my brother Sanjay Lulla, who also asks me to post.
Thanks a lot, you kind souls. So, here am I!
This poem, too was composed in 1981. Many changes have come in life, since then, in today's world though. Thanks for
reading.
(Poem) "My notion of marital bliss"
A married couple does not only share geniality and felicity
But, also doleful calamities and responsibility,
Of together boosting the family income
Thus, constituting a pair, devotedly love-some.
A husband-wife relation is devout and holy
For dedication from both the sides is earnest and wholly,
Hence, I feel, it is terribly wrong
That only the husband for a livelihood should slog.
Twentieth century, with a trend civilised
Has in every aspect human thinking modernised,
Equally, therefore, life partners should burden divide
And patiently with their feelings and weaknesses, mutually abide.
Grandparents can look after kids in a tender way
Or by trustworthy maids, throughout the day,
For Papa-Mama always work for their children’s betterment
And for family’s benefit, comfort and attainment.

Elegant and full of grace,
A smile vivacious and alluring
And eyes pellucid and enrapturing.
You have been gifted with good, helpful nature
That manifests your unblemished character,
A heart, warm and benign
Not a bit vindictive and malign.
Your hardwork in helping the mentally challenged
Dear, will not go unnoticed,
Pray God will surely bless you
With health, happiness and wealth, too.
