I wish to share this experience with you. Its about a nasty joke on the SIndhi community. I tried to turn tables.
I was with this set of colleagues who I had never met before. They were talking amongst themself and the topic was sindhis. One of the said or rather asked " if u see a snake and a sindhi whom wld you kill first" laughter laughter---- I very audibly said " charya manu isiliye udhar ke udhar hi hai, Sindhi ko marega hatkadi lagegi sanp ka marega to venom skin aur chinese se flesh ke paise milenge, tum kabhi taraki nahin karega. kabhi US aur Hongkong nahin jayega,jayega sirf jail mein"
A solemn silence and a whispered sorry and me laughing.
Dont know if this is wise or not but the only way I cld get back to them.

meaning, a woman, no matter how much she decks herself up...is not complete without a bindi...
the same way a man may survive once bitten by a hundred snakes but once he gets on the wrong side of a Sindhi he is doomed for life...!!!
one thing we should remember here is that no snake bites a human being unless it is threatened or harmed in any way..
same goes for a Sindhi...we do not fool around, harm, speak ill or take advantage of anyone, but if we are at the receiving end for no fault of ours, then only God can help the other guy....
let us be proud of this....

S.a.n.j.a.y | | I was also told the saap and sindhi thing in a new group by a smart ass marwadi guy i shut him up by saying ki "aap logo mai kahawat hai ki saap aur sindhi dikhay toh pehle sindhi ko maaro,leki humaray mai kahawat hai ki marwadi akayla bhi dikhay to maar do saap ka wait bhi mat karo" and he did shut up after that..
